Lighting for professional
plant cultivation

Our innovative LED plant lighting fixtures are a 1: 1 replacement for High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) lamps. The only luminaires on the market that are tested on various plant species.

Choose a luminaire
from the HORTI series

HORTI luminaires are available in two sizes with different power. Each variant of the luminaire is made of powder-coated aluminum, which perfectly reflects heat. The lamps are equipped with diffusing tempered glass lampshades, which diffuse the light very well. All luminaires are controllable, which additionally extends the life of the LEDs. The product has IP65 and IK08, which guarantee tightness and impact resistance. Additionally, it can operate in the temperature range -40 … + 60oC. In combination with the spectrum selected for your cultivation, you will get an almost perfect product. By choosing our luminaire, you can be sure that you are choosing the highest quality product.

Choose the spectrum

Our knowledge and research in the field of photobiology allowed us to create a spectral database designed for the most efficient growth of plants. Most of the luminaires currently available on the market have a spectrum dominated by blue and red. It coincides with the chlorophyll absorption peaks but ignores other dyes and photoreceptors. Our spectra cover the full range of waves (also outside the PAR area) and are optimized for faster and better development of various plant species.

Luminaire control system

The Bilberry control system can work with a PAR sensor or a spectroradiometer. Thanks to this solution, the luminaires independently adjust the luminous flux or the spectral composition to the conditions outside in order to provide plants with a stable level of light. Wireless communication, from the level of a mobile device, enables control of such functionalities as setting an operating schedule, combining luminaries into zones, controlling the spectrum and light intensity.

Greenhouses

The Horti series products have also been designed for facilities where artificial lighting is the only source of light. The created spectra take into account the full range of light wavelengths, providing plants with optimized light for proper development and faster growth. Controlling the luminaires using the Bilberry wireless system ensures easy adjustment of lighting to the stage of development of the crop.

The short distance between the light sources and the top of the plants ensures maximum use of the growing space. Luminaires are constructed on a narrow profile and enable easy installation on shelves. The use of passive heat dissipation reduces the risk of malfunction and operates well in combination with cooling systems available on the market.

Horti has a database of spectra created for the individual needs of plants most often grown in greenhouses. The narrow profile of the luminaire provides significantly less shading than in the case of a sodium lamp. The use of LEDs ensures long lifespan and a constant spectrum of light, which makes it a proven and reliable source of light for plants.

Our partners in research

We have conducted  numerous experiments in cooperation with various institutions to dynamically develop our product. Thanks to research in our R&D Center and cooperation with the Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute – National Research Institute, we have tested the influence of 40 spectra on over 160 plants. We have also cooperated with JMP Flowers R&D Center, where we have examined a total of 15 spectra on orchids and roses. Furthermore, our lamps are tested by the largest producer of vegetable seedlings in Poland -Seedlings Krasoń Producers Group . In addition, we cooperate with the Martin Luther University in Halle and Wittenberg, the Leibniz Institute of Biochemistry, and Icon Genetics.
